Complior
Alam Medical, France
-
The Complior is a traditional, relatively time-consuming measuring method with piezoelectric sensors.
-
The measurement requires trained personnel.
-
Invasively validated PWVcf (12), SBPao and AIXao (13).
-
The device may overestimated the PWVao especially in cases of higher PWV, due to the simultaneous recording of carotid and femoral pressure curves, and the opposite propagation of the aortic pulse pressure waves to carotid and femoral sites (21).
-
There are several cardiovascular outcome studies existing (14,15,16,17).
-
This device does not use generalized transfer function (GTF).

Year of first publication: 1984
